I am proud and excited to welcome you to Uppingham Hung Yen, Hanoi. As we prepare to open our doors in August 2026, we stand on the edge of a new chapter that intertwines Uppingham’s near 450-year heritage of holistic education with Vietnam’s rich culture.

As the founding Headmistress, my vision is for Uppingham Hung Yen to be a warm, inclusive and aspirational community.

Founded in the United Kingdom in 1584 and granted its charter by Queen Elizabeth I in 1587, Uppingham School has grown from a small local grammar school into one of the UK’s foremost public schools.
