Uppingham Vietnam welcomes Dr. Pham Minh Tuan to join the Board of Directors. As one of the most respected leaders in ed-tech sector in Vietnam, Dr. Pham brings to Uppingham Vietnam his decades of experience in education, technology, and entrepreneurship.
Dr. Pham Minh Tuan is currently the Chairman of Tech Founder Institute, Southeast Asia's leading Startup Accelerator for technology startups. Mr. Pham Minh Tuan is a member of the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development, and a member of the jury for the Global Teacher Prize.
Pham Minh Tuan is the founder and former CEO of Topica Edtech Group, the first online training unit in Southeast Asia with operations in Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Before founding TOPICA, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan had held many important positions in various companies and organizations such as Deputy Director of the Advanced Institute of Science and Technology of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Dean of Banking and Finance Faculty of Hanoi Open University; Member of Steering Committee of Asia Pacific Business Incubation Network; Member of Central Committee of Vietnam Youth Union; Senior Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego; Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company in Budapest; Investment Specialist at Extramedia Ventures in Singapore and New York; Software Architect at Integra Software in Budapest…
He also received a PhD in Information Administration and a Master of Informatics from Budapest Technical University(BUTE) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from New York Stern School (NYU).
