FOR THE THINKERS
The Investor's Board of Directors provides independent oversight and strategic leadership to ensure the School’s successful establishment and long-term sustainability. The seven-member Board, including two representatives from Uppingham School, brings together international and local expertise to uphold the Uppingham family of schools’ values, educational philosophy, and standards. As a critical friend to the School’s leadership, the Board oversees strategy, monitors performance, and ensures the faithful implementation in practice of its vision.
The Board is also responsible for robust governance, including financial oversight, regulatory compliance, and safeguarding pupils’ wellbeing – ensuring that Uppingham Hung Yen operates with integrity, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Chairman
Pho Pham is the Chief Executive Officer of Viet Capital Asset Management with decades of experience in venture investments, fundraising, technology development and retail investment expansions. He strongly advocates for long term investment in education and healthcare.
Board Member
Mr. Nghia Luong is Chairman of Evergreen Investment Joint Stock Company and Deputy General Director of Vihajico. As a subsidiary of Ecopark’s developer, Evergreen benefits from a prime location near Hanoi, strong financial capacity, and extensive experience, specialising in managing services and amenities for residents, including restaurants, events, and leasing services.

Tony Ngo is a Harvard and Stanford educated co-founder and Chairman of Everest Education and founder of Sponsors for Educational Opportunity – Vietnam. He believes in transforming education by personalising education for every student and he previously worked in funds management and investment banking on Wall Street.
Independent Board Member
Dr. Nam Tran is a veteran in the banking and financial technology sectors, as a senior member of Vietcombank. He is an experienced voice of fiscal responsibility, built on his expertise in the finance sector, including as the co-founder of Moca (acquired by Grab).

Khoa Pham is an educator and entrepreneur who is well respected amongst peers in the education sector as Yola co-founder and Chairman. He has a background in college admission advisory and brings to Uppingham Hung Yen industry insights, an extensive network and experience that includes studying abroad.
