JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Purpose

  • Reporting to the Head of School and forming part of the School’s Senior Management Team (SMT) the key focus of the role is the recruitment and admission of pupils into Uppingham Hung Yen. 
  • To lead the School Admissions team to ensure an outstanding admissions process which reflects the School’s premium quality and commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • To ensure that Uppingham Hung Yen has an effective outreach programme. The Head of Admissions is an important public facing role, representing Uppingham Hung Yen and the post holder is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong personal relationships with parents, staff and pupils and the local community including corporate contacts.

HIRING CRITERIA

Education

  • Educated to degree level

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in admissions, student recruitment, or similar role, preferably within a British Independent or highly regarded British International School.
  • Expertise and experience in the development of effective enrolment management strategies to meet enrolment targets and optimise the admissions process.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting skills; proficiency in collecting and organising admissions data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Proficiency in Admissions and CRM software
  • Significant knowledge of educational trends and market insights, especially in the international school sector.
  • Knowledge of international student recruitment practices, including understanding different educational systems, visa requirements and cultural considerations.
  • Outstanding organisational, planning and multitasking abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Understanding of UK Safeguarding and Child Protection protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with prospective students and their families. 
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment 
  • Experience of, or a clear understanding of UK Independent Schools and/ or British  Education
